I love designing + creating repeat prints + patterns by hand. I carve my own printing blocks using lino + rubber blocks which I hand stamp onto natural cotton + botanically dyed cotton, in colourful water based inks. I enjoy making home accessories such as cushions + lampshades in various nature inspired designs which can be hand printed in custom colour ways that nobody else will have. Everything I make is one-of-a-kind due to the nature + charm of printing by hand.
It's a passion of mine + a way of life. I'm constantly sketching new ideas when I'm not working on orders. My small business fits in around me + my family. I'm very fortunate to call this my hobby + business. I couldn't imaging doing anything else.
I'm a printmaker specialising in block printing, screen printing + plant dyeing unique textiles + home accessories by hand.
Along with my printmaking, I also enjoy foraging for plants, incorporating natural plant dyes to my designs. I really enjoy seeing all the different colours plants can produce. I use a chemical-free process as a mordant/fixer for my natural cotton + hand print onto the vast array of coloured cotton. It's another unique element to my work.
