How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My silver and brass jewellery is sculpture-inspired, using processes such as Lost Wax Casting - I create entirely unique pieces by melting and pouring silver. My artistic background is in sculpture and I am inspired by the natural world and how light interacts with landscapes and rock formations. My minimalist designs are made by hand with an organic and rustic finish.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Being a sculptor and jeweller is a way to materialise my thoughts, making with my hands and being creative is my way of understanding the world around me.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Jewellery by Elizabeth

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

My jewellery is made through two different processes, one is hammering and shaping and the other being 'Lost Wax Casting', an ancient technique using wax modelling, casting sand and melted silver.
