Details
It has been life changing.
I am a painter, I paint, but I haven’t always.
I studied Drama and French at Manchester University and Acting at Central School of Speech and Drama. I have worked as an actor in theatre, television and film, as a community arts practitioner and at BAFTA.
I moved back to Mid Wales with my family in 2007 and live near Llandrindod, where I teach part time. After many years of dreaming about it I finally took up painting in 2018, after a serious road traffic accident. And so, despite the long wait, I can describe myself as an “emerging artist”. I have PTSD which makes the world a much more intense and scary place than it used to be. It has also made my senses more acute and I have become fascinated by the colours and connections in everything around me. Painting is both calming and exciting. I particularly love to paint the countryside of Mid Wales and the Cardiganshire coast.
