How would you describe the work you do and why?:

The illustrative work is wholly imaginative, with ideas triggered by a moment, a situation.
My paintings in watercolour and pastels are from subject matter in front of me, it is a means of relaying the light, shade contrasts, textures and composition to please the eye.
A love of fabrics and the nature of different cloth as it hangs and folds, will always give me pleasure, and to bring it to life in pastel is incredibly fulfilling for some extraordinary reason!

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I know of nothing else. The challenges are always with me. Observation, colour, creativity. Forever observing and learning.
