I create joyful lampshades that bring colour and light into dark corners of your home. Each is designed and handcrafted either with layers of plant-fibre papers or handprinted linocuts. I also have a range of appliqued vintage OS map shades.
I love creating authentic products, by hand that are beautiful as well as functional and bring joy to their owners.
I'm a contemporary lampshade maker, printmaker and surface pattern designer.
I don't teach or run workshops but do take on commissions for customised shades and create surface patterns available for licensing.
I'm a member of the Worcestershire Guild - Contemporary Craft and exhibit with them at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival in May each year.
In 2024 I'll be exhibiting at RHS Malvern 9-12 May, opening my own studio in Hanley Swan for h.Art 7-15 September, showing with the Worcestershire Guild Contemporary Craft at Craftworks at Elmslie House in Malvern 20/21 Ocotber and in Ledbury's Weavers Gallery 3-14 December (exc Sunday).
Designed for Christmas is a mixed selling exhibition of work by h.Artists: Jo Dewar - textiles and mixed media, Joanne Goodwin - silver jewellery, Emma Thomas - stoneware pottery, Ben Walker - wooden homeware, Jocelyn Perry - woven bead jewellery and me, Sarah Walker - handprinted lampshades and linocuts. It takes place at the Weavers Gallery in Ledbury 4-15 December 2024 (exc Sunday)
