How would you describe the work you do and why?:
My practice explores materiality through intuition-led processes, shaping copper, brass and gilding metal entirely by hand. Through hammering, forming, and surface manipulation, I investigate the relationship between emotion, consciousness, perception and experience. Each piece embodies a dialogue between control and surrender, capturing the physicality of making as a reflection of experience. By allowing the material to guide me, I create work that resonates with the unseen-tracing the movement of emotion through form and texture.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
For me my work is a form of communication as a means of survival.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I'm a metalsmith
