How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is studio based. I use drawings from hill walking as a reference, noting the colours of the land and sky.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Being an artist for me is mostly about problem solving. By this I mean knowing how and when a painting is complete.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I have a BA Hons in Fine Art and work on canvas, paper and board creating images from the local landscapes centred around the hills of Shropshire. I have been a member of Abstract Edge, a group of artists from Shropshire and Powys, for the last 20 years.

I do not offer workshops or teaching but am very happy to talk about my work.
