I paint a variety of subject matter from local landscapes to still life and abstract forms. I particularly enjoy experimenting with painting styles and composition , spending much time studying and observing landforms, clouds, still life lighting , shadows and reflections.
Feeling inspired to respond to particular subject matter and communicate this in a visual way . I consider why I’m painting whatever I’ve chosen and what I’m trying to convey to the viewer, this could be a mood or atmosphere, lighting, paint technique, theme, representation or otherwise .
