How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I am primarily a landscape artist working in most media but mainly oil and watercolour. I support a number of charities, my chosen one this year being the Marie Curie Trust. I have also given support to the Red Cross and Royal British Legion, making and selling ceramic poppies

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Having now reached the age of 84 years and my beloved wife 85 I have the freedom of time to pursue my love of art and enjoy the beautiful countryside that I am privileged to live in.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Artist and Potter

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I have in the past entertained groups or individuals to experience clay and the potters wheel. The look on children's faces as they see a lump of clay taking a new form under their hands (with a little help from me) is something I will never forget.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

Worcester College art department and the encouragement from teachers there left a lasting impression on me. I have never lost my love of art since.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years:

Worcestershire Open Studios, my own gallery, Bromyard art studios, Burley Gate Art Exhibition, Little Witley tea rooms and Hanbury Hall . Unfortunately a personal health crisis and Covid scuppered any further exhibitions

Your gallery outlets/stockists:

I have a gallery at my home, (Linley Green Studios )and also at Bromyard Art Studios, run by Alfred Mann, a prominent artist in his own right.
I also have a presence on the internet .
