How would you describe the work you do and why?:

Very much nature inspired when I paint and draw. The fleeting and temporary nature of an animal stopping for a moment or caught mid action is something I try to capture. When I’m doing a portrait of a pet, I love catching the essence of their character so I work in more detail. When painting furniture I’m guided by the style and origin of the piece itself (sometimes it takes weeks of thinking to allow to ideas to come!) but I do love Bloomsbury art!

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I have a really busy life and can only work part time at my art. For me, it’s a release and a chance to truly escape some of the external pressures. I can be somewhere else completely while I’m painting, mentally if not physically.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I’m an illustrator, wildlife artist and decorative artist.

Working part time at home. No workshops yet but am open to the idea.
