How would you describe the work you do and why?:

Having trained as a ceramic restorer I have always appreciated the wonderand diversity of ceramics. Through pottery classes I started to make my own pots and pictures. Having always loved gardening I began to incorporate nature into my work. This I did through making moulds and sculpting, or pressing, leaves, seed pods and buds directly into clay and embellishing my pots with them. Over the last two years I have also started to make pictures, covering my sculpted leaves in metal copper, and gold which I oxidise.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

To be able to create beautiful things, which people want to buy because they too love them, is too wonderful for words.
