Details
My work is mainly collage, combining magazine pages, vintage papers, painted textures, and found materials. My Sky collages feature recycled trade magazines from my business, making use of the bold colours in food and drink advertising. I repurpose old boards and canvases, transforming them into vibrant new pieces. I don't always have a plan in mind and enjoy the process of choosing colours, tearing paper and assembling it as I go.
After studying art at A level, I took a different career path, but like many, I returned to creating during lockdown.
Its time to be myself and unwind and see where the paper and paint takes me.
I am a self taught artist with a love of colour. I adore collage, acrylic paint and gelplate printing and find peace making art.
I have a network of collage friends on Instagram where I am @lifeisbetterincollage and am a member of various collage collectives and groups including mini collage collective and special agent collage collective. I submit work from time to time to group open calls such as coupee collage and to world collage day exhibitions. I love to trade artists trading cards through Instagram and trade with other artists all over the globe. There's nothing better than receiving beautiful post! I would love to set up a local collective so if collage is your thing please get in touch.
This will be the first public exhibition of my work
