How would you describe the work you do and why?

Mostly functional table ware, thrown on a wheel, with occasional forays into sculpture. I find pleasure in designing and making every day pots with ergonomics and practicality in mind.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It's a way to escape from the madness of the world and to switch off the brain chatter.

Mostly stoneware, electric fired, in my garden studio.

I've been a hobby potter since my 20s, picking it up in various classes and studios whenever and wherever I could along the journey of life.
