How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I I work in silver, and am fascinated by the play of light on surfaces and textures. My jewellery recently has been influenced by the sixties, and particularly by Scandinavian jewellers. The smooth anticlastic curves and the possibilities of fold forming are techniques that I find particularly attractive.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

If being an artist is to have an obsession; I might qualify. I wake up each morning thinking of a shape. The possibilities unfold, would it be better as a brooch, or pendant, or maybe a pair of earrings? Pure silver or sterling? Textured or smooth? Hammered or reticulated? Would a gemstone add interest? Then comes the fun bit, actually seeing the imagined become real!

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I'm a jeweller and my website is called 'My Beautifully Silver'
