Details
I make enamel pictures, bowls, brooches and earrrings. All of my work is on a base of copper and I create the design with powdered glass which is then fired. Several layers of glass powder can be applied so some peices are fired several times.
My pictures are inspired by nature, either trees , flowers or seedheads. I am also inspired by stunning landscapes or seascapes and create vibrant pictures of these scenes.
I am passionate about my work and get a real buzz from creating . The joy of enamelling is the unpredictabilaty of the final piece.
Enamelling is my life and it's when I am at my happiest.
I have been a professional enamel artist for nearly fourteen years.
Throughout the year I am creating my enamel pictures, bowls, brooches and earring to give me enough stock for the sixteen or more shows that I attend every year.
