Details
I draw and photograph to catch memories of the light, colour, textures and atmospheric qualities of favourite woodlands, hillsides and wild coastlines. I transform my sketchbook ideas into finished textiles and paintings, using a variety of media, including hand dyed silk papers, painted felts, machine stitch, and collage.
Art is an immensely important part of my life. Through my art work in textiles and mixed media paintings, I can express my abiding love of the natural world . Favourite landscapes near and far, woodlands, special trees, wild shorelines, bluebell vistas, all feature in my sketchbooks and finished works.
Textiles and mixed media
I divide my creative time between drawing on location, and working in my studio. I demonstrate silk paper making techniques during open studio events.
