How would you describe the work you do and why?
I make pottery from earthenware clay. It is slipped and generally painted with coloured slips.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Absorption. Following a thread. Excitement. Observation. Learning.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Domestic pottery
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I walk across to the pottery... In winter I start by lighting the fire before breakfast. I look at what I did the day before. I see what needs doing today. I take a break for coffee.

English lit degree. Harrow studio pottery course. Workshops in London. Moved to Herefordshire 2006.
