I particularly enjoy creating unique handmade scarves, bags and felt pictures. I love the possibilities that wool gives and enjoy playing with colour and texture.
I have realised over the years that creating is essential for my mental health. My medium is primarily textiles especially felt. It makes me very happy when people appreciate what I make and especially if they choose to buy! I love chatting about my art work and sharing techniques and ideas.
I am a textile artist specialising in creating fine felt.
I have participated in many online and in person felting workshops in order to perfect my felting skills. I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association.
I have participated in many online and in person exhibitions over the last few years. I belong to a local textile group Mostly Felt and we exhibit twice a year at The Weavers Gallery, Ledbury. The 2025 dates for this are 4-9 August and 24-29 November. Do come and say hello!
I have a small amount of work in Oxenham Art Gallery Leominster. My main outlet is during the Mostly Felt exhibition however current work is mostly seen via my Instagram page CarolDashTextileArt and contact details are available on my website. I also intend to participate in Worcestershire Open Studios this year - sharing a venue in Great Witley with two excellent painters so checkout the Worcester Open Studios website for opening dates and times.
