How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My art work varies, I do not commit to one single medium, style or subject, there is too much in the world to love and to turn into art. You are most likely to see my art work featuring animals as they are my first love to turn into art. I do not strive for hyper realism in my work, as there are so many amazing photographers out there, I just try and enjoy what I do and experiment with different mediums and techniques. My pyrography work has gone from flat burning to almost sculpting out parts of the image to create more depth, and to even burning onto paper. When a customer buys my artwork I do not package my work in fancy packaging as I am an advocate to trying to save the planet from unwanted items that will just end up in landfill, which all packaging does. I try and recyle and reuse.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I am a supporter of animal conservation and try and draw animals that are vulnerable or close to extinction, which a percentage of the sales from any of this art work or prints goes towards animal charities. A percentage of my pyrography sales goes towards the planting of a tree. Art for me is my escape from the rest of the world, it is my therapy, where I can hopefully switch off from the world and join the little world of my imagintion and happy place.
