How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I love work to have an organic sense of balance and form but to also have a practical element, even better if that practical element is hidden within the beauty of the piece.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
finding purpose for a confused and struggling mind
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I see myself as someone who loves , desires to be making things all the time and has found the discipline of the Blacksmiths craft a great way to explore many and varied possibilities and applications.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
Over the last nearly 30 years of practice I have been involved with schools, local councils, business and private individuals creating pieces and experiences through the medium of forging metal, utilising both traditional and contemporary construction techniques.
