How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I have been fusing glass for three years and am learning all the time. I am captivated by the colours and textures that are possible through the format of glass fusing. My creations are usual colourful and often quirky but are developing as I learn more and more.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Being an artist gives me the opportunity to be mindful and creative. It is a pure pleasure to have the opportunity to make colourful and sometimes beautiful objects.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

It started as a hobby and quickly developed into a passion. I am on a journey of becoming an artist - one that will never end I hope!

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I work in a studio at my home. Initially, most of what I did adorned my house and garden, and then extended to friends and family. With the need to make room for new projects I have started selling at craft fairs. I sometimes hold informal taster sessions.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

My learning has come through online courses and guidance from other local glass fusers. Catherine Dunstan is a favourite teacher of mine.
