Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
After studying Fine Art, specialising in large scale sculpture I wanted to create wearable art, in the form of jewellery. My practice is rooted in observation. I gather fragments of the everyday; shifting light across concrete, the rhythm of architectural lines and layers of weathered textures. I am constantly photographing shapes, compositions, and surfaces, creating a visual diary that slowly distils itself into the forms I create. Some pieces are formed directly into metal, embracing immediacy and gesture. Others are shaped through the ancient process of lost-wax casting. I work exclusively with recycled metals, allowing each piece to carry not only form and intention, but renewal; a continuation of material memory shaped into something new.
