Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?

My work varies from pressed flower frames that I produce in small wholesale batches to working with brides, gardeners, local estates on preserving their flowers and creating bespoke commissions as well as exploratory works developing new ideas. What’s great about working with flowers is not one work is the same ,no matter the size of frame,

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Being artist for me is a sense of escapism into different ideas and creations and it is also grounding. Nature serves as both subject and teacher; its textures, rhythms, and organic forms guide my hand and ground my perspective. I am inspired by the changing seasons and my local environment. I am drawn to its imperfections and subtle shifts, which mirror our own human experiences. Above all, my work carries a sense of play; an openness to curiosity, experimentation, and joy in the act of making.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I’m a pressed flower artist and include modern calligraphy and gilding techniques into my work.
