Working mainly in oil paint to produce pastoral landscape scenes, though I occasionally paint in watercolours

Worked as a commercial picture framer, restorer and gilder in Central London for 20 years forced research into the methods, pigments and techniques of artists, predominently in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The consequence was to use authentic pigments, techniques and materials then and which I contine to use today in making my own paints, varnishes and grounds.
