How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

My work is me translating the world in a way that makes sense to me. It can be therapeutic, sometimes very raw. There are some works I have never shown to anyone. But the majority alludes to universal themes in human experience and often resonates with my audience.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Being an artist means I am privileged to be able to communicate in a beautiful language.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I describe myself and my practise as joyful dabbling. I am always moving forward experimenting with new images, unwilling to be bogged down by repetition.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I taught art full time in my youth but these days I work alone in my studio.

BA Hons Fine Art Painting, Cardiff College of Art. PGCE Art Education, Birmingham College of Art.
Full time secondary teaching. Part time adult teaching.
Private art practice and taking part in local exhibitions.
