How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I have a love of gardening, cooking and entertaining. The pots I make reflect this and are both decorative and functional, used for displaying flowers, cooking and or serving food and drink.
I often use surface decoration, either in the form of adding texture or by using multi layers of slips and glazes to create a surface of many colours.
I create all my own slips and glazes, continually experimenting with new recipes and combinations.
All my work is salt glazed and single fired in my wood kiln.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I am Pippa working out of Yew Tree Pottery.
I work with stoneware and salt fire my work in my wood fired kiln which I built myself.
