Sarah Walker ArtShades

Sarah only opens her studio once a year during h.Art. It is housed on the ground floor of a malthouse dating from the early 1800s. You’ll see where Sarah designs, handprints and makes her distinctive lampshades.

Table lamps, floor lamps and wall lights will be on display and you can purchase directly or commission your own shade in colours to suit your décor (remember to bring your swatches or lampbase that needs a shade).

If maps are your passion then you can explore Sarah’s collection of vintage OS maps to find the one that is significant for your own bespoke lampshade.

Sarah will also be displaying her own fabric designs, with cushions, notebooks and handprinted cards also for sale.

Upstairs you will find 5 fellow artist makers – The Malthouse Collective. Silver jewellery, wooden homeware, abstract paintings, ceramics, mixed media and illustration.
