How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

Work developes in series based on themed projects focusing on subjects and places in the landscape considering aspects of geology, archaeology, history, climate, nature and the environment.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Working on my own and working collaboratively with others on projects such as the Ghost trees at Croft Castle https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/worcestershire-herefordshire/crof... or collaboration on filmmaking with Apples and People https://applesandpeople.org.uk/pissarro, or organising exhibtions such as 'In Search of the Perfect Hill' celebrating the landscape of the Marches and co-organising projects and exhibtions such as The Hogback Hills at the SNT.

Landscape based artist

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

Work developes in series based on themes, the serial aspect allows development over extened periods of time as an ongoing conversation with the subject matter and places as well as the medium, whether charcoal, watercolour of oil paint. Occasional workshops based on themes such as drawing trees.
