Details
I make sculptural pieces of jewellery and artefacts - forming and texturing silver and combining it with a wide variety of elements which depend on the theme of the particular work in progress
I am a maker and want to create work that prompts the observer to think about it, perhaps why I have made a particular piece and what it might mean to them and why I have chosen those elements and put them together - basically I hope to create some emotion, reaction, and of course, pleasure. It is my way of expressing myself.
I am a maker of unique, pieces of jewellery using a variety of materials
Now, I concentrate on making, working on my own and also at The Silverworkbench, a workshop where we often interchange ideas and discuss various techniques.
I studied two years at a school in Mexico City - have taken various short courses at the John Cass College in London and West Dean residential courses.
I worked as a costume designer for theatre, film and television and have also made props and jewellery for the theatre.
