My business has grown simply from an awe of what I can create on a loom and a desire to keep exploring colour and patten.

Entering my 10th year of weaving my fabrics develop from a curiosity of exploring colour once woven together, only once two or more colours are enlaced together in the process of weaving I am able to see if the fabric is going to be what I have envisioned. Once I have found a combination of colour that speaks to me I then explore pattern and collections of fabric are produced.

I weave all of my fabrics on an AVL floor loom, this was a huge step forward for me from the table loom I started on. Although it has its limitations as I can weave a maximum width of 100cm but at least 13 metres long at a time I think that is all apart of making everything yourself as a small maker.

The entire process of weaving is extremely satisfying, knowing what I can achieve at the end of each warp is what encourages me to continue.

I have developed my small business further by having a shop, Livinloom Home, which is my h.Art venue. Working in a creative way has enabled to meet so many talented people which I now work with in the shop and I am able to create curated displays to show it all at its best.
