How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is often sculptural and made up of multiple pieces that connect together by theme or material.

I often use crafting as a cathartic exercise where my mind can also rest while making.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Through art I have been able to find my voice and in the making and creating I feel closer to the Maker Himself.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a designer maker that works in a variety of different materials from ceramics to steel, plaster to lint from the tumble dryer. I am both process and concept driven in my work. The current underlying concept that has been an anchor in my work for the last 3 years is seeing the beauty in the broken. Using overlooked and discarded materials to convey this concept, but I want my work to be glimmers to remind us that despite the dark times we are still valuable and beautiful.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I am currently a full time art student where I am gaining a BA Hons degree. This means my time is limited to working on the modules given to me so my activities are fully concentrated on the course at the moment.
