How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I make magic. My research is based on a love of ritual culture, folk religion, folk arts, and animism. I make contemporary objects to fulfil the function of personal ritual.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Producing things which would not exist without me.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I am a figurative artist, but mostly I am a maker.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I teach at Hereford College of Arts as a visiting lecturer across the Crafts courses, and have a private studio at Unit 6 in Hereford where I work full time as a maker. I am also a professional chef-for-hire, amongst too many other things.
