How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I became entranced by the practice of' painting with wool ', after working for years with metals.... I love trying to translate the everyday paraphernalia of life and nature into this vibrant but elusive medium. I create wallhangings and smaller framed works, along with recent appliquéd vintage fabric still lives, from my studio in Ledbury

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Essential aspect to life which I am very used to now after forty years.... it simply identifies one and enhances most days whether visually or through connections.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

Fine artist / feltmaker, trained at Portsmouth Poly ( sculpture BA ) , Goldsmiths College ( textiles MA )

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I taught visual studies and textiles for ten years on foundation courses at Portsmouth and Southampton Universities and Hereford Art College, along with numerous workshops, lectures and one day courses in wet felting and textiles.
