How would you describe the work you do and why?:
Currently I draw to portray the UK's natural kitchen., to inform and to please the eye.
I enjoy repeat and flat printing on textiles as a good way to get drawing and art into people's homes.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
I am Designer and illustrator and likely will be until I die.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Illustrator / Print Designer
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I illustrate for pleasure and to please others, but also I illustrate to aid those that teach the natural world.
CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:
I don't have my CV to hand but I was a successful print designer in lingerie and fashion for 15 years, including working for Courtaulds. I got married 6 years ago and moved to the countryside, and finally I started drawing it and interpreting the foraging lifestyle.
