Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I work in a wide variety of mediums and materials, producing large conceptual sculptures as well as smaller, more traditional items such as jewellery and home furnishings.

My work aims to combine traditional craft practices and philosophies with contemporary design methods and sustainably sourced materials, creating new narratives through these unique interactions.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

For me, Craft is about self expression and self discovery. Creating something unique to better understand myself and the world around me. It is also about connecting with others. The feeling of a handmade object, the reassuring weight in your hand, the subtle witness marks of human interaction etched on its surface. The subtle joy of a thing made well, by someone who took care in its creation.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a maker and designer Craftsperson
