Details
My work is full of vibrant colour, movement and atmosphere. Looking attentively at nature, people and places feeds my imagination. I then process all the stimuli and begin to explore different ways to translate them into images. Sometimes this is a painting, a print, mixed media or more recently textile art.
Since I was very young I have always sketched and painted. It comes naturally to me and is necessary for my peace of mind and my sense of well being.
My work is inspired by the stunning countryside of Herefordshire, Cumbria, USA and France. As well as the vivid landscapes of my mind.
I am a painter, printmaker and mixed media artist. Always exploring new ways and techniques that excite and stimulate my need to process my response to the world and my imagination.
I have taught my own private art classes and workshops over many years, most recently running art courses for Ukrainian refugees in Hereford.
I also organise art exhibitions for Children of Peace, an international charity working in Gaza and Israel.
