My body of work consists of thrown stoneware and also porcelain pieces of jewellery.
Throwing is my passion but a neck injury restricted my work and led me down the path of making smaller pieces and so I discovered porcelain beads and stamping the pure white clay a joy to work with.
Being a Potter is a passion that ebbs and flows with the light and weather. You have to feel it to create, I’m not a production potter.
I love the freedom of clay and the complexity and precision of making glazes. I feel like an alchemist every time I fire up my kiln.
I am a studio potter
I’m still developing my style and ranges, but I work mostly in stoneware and like to layer glazes for glossy, interesting finishes.
I work from a converted shipping container next to open fields with views across to the Welsh mountains.
