How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I have worked in steel since the 1970s and find it allows me to portray the lightness of movement found in animals and birds. It also lends itself to large sculptural plants and figurative pieces. Each piece is a 'one off' I do all the welding and construction myself.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
It is my living

I am a professional sculptor mostly working in welded steel.

I work entirely on my own and do not do workshops or teach
