Details
My watercolour collection of pebble paintings is painted in a loose style, and inspired by my love of beaches, rockpools, pebbles and streams.
The detailed areas with misty edges hopefully conveys the same feelings of reflective calm that I feel when I paint them.
My harbour boats acrylics are bright but also subtle, evoking memories of seaside holidays, and my pen and ink drawings (mainly town/cityscapes) are detailed.
The monoprint series are a recent addition to my collection, rockpools, flowers and leaves.
I am excited by the way watercolour plays, and lets you know where it wants to go and what it wants to be. I delight in the bold brightness of acrylics, and the way the colours flow and blend, and I love the concentration required for my pen and ink work.
Monoprinting is exciting, you can have an idea of what you would like it to be, but it's always a surprise when you see the print!
Painting and drawing give me immense pleasure, I get lost in a world of my own.
Watercolour, Acrylic, and pen and ink artist.
I am mainly self-taught. I have always been creative, but became more focused in creating art fairly recently when I started attending art classes in 2017.
I exhibited at Warehouse701 during H.art Christmas week in 2023, and will be exhibiting there again in September 2024. I was guest artist at the Apple Store Gallery in July/August 2024.
