How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I work with carefully selected and provenanced timbers, increasingly sourced from the UK , and am committed to both sound craftsmanship and innovation; I want my work to last, and be used, for many generations, and to be a reflection, in the future, of the best of life today.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I get immense pleasure and satisfaction from creating work that is unique, and a genuine advance in my design and making skills, and, of course, the hope that my clients will experience the same rewards.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a designer and maker of fine contemporary furniture and related items.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I don't do teaching in my own workshop, but have given many talks and demonstrations at numerous venues and shows.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

Studied fine art and sculpture at Stourbridge Art College, 6 months teaching practical Arts &Crafts on government scheme in Wolverhampton. Exhibited Finland.
