How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I use mainly watercolour pencils when completing life work, adding a colour wash which brings a softness to the lines. Pen and ink is my preferred medium with nature images. I particularly like to use gold ink as an enhancement. I also enjoy using just a pencil. Recently I decided to create an initial, animal alphabet for cards and prints. I have just extended this range with enamel water bottles and mugs as well as ceramic mugs.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Freedom to observe life and nature and then to capture the moment on paper, in the hope that others will enjoy too.

A pencil and pen and ink artist. Life drawing being the main focus with nature following close behind.
