How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I make original prints in small editions or one-offs, using mainly intaglio (etching, drypoint, collagraph) and also relief (lino and woodcut) as well as monoprints. I enjoy experimenting and trying things out, be it a new process or new (to me) materials, which has its risks. I shall also being showing some collages made with my own monoprints and proofs as well as some paintings. The work always starts with drawing and I do use my own photos as reference only. Whatever the outcome I am constantly learning.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I have always loved drawing and making. The printmaking process is completely absorbing. It can take hours or it can be surprisingly immediate and I have to keep doing it.
It is a journey of discovery and the moment of seeing the reveal as a new print is pulled off the press can be magical or can simply show me the next step.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
