How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I create a ecletic range of quirky and nostalgic 3D picures and decorations from everyday throw-away materials and found objects. I love the challenge and flexibility of working with materials that no longer have a use and giving them a new lease of life - a sort of reincarnation. Read Sunday papers are made into paper pulp to create birds, mackerel with party hats or characters that have a story, empty pie tins become vintage jugs and classic cars and an empty coffee pod is perfect for a bucket or a fritillary flower head

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Pure escapism! Through my art, my imagination and observations of objects and people can be released and shared. I am also able to include feelings of nostalgia refering to past memories and experiences with a good dollop of humour thrown in for good measure.
