I am a jewellery designer, and have a home studio in a lovely Victorian part of Hereford, a stones-throw from the flood meadows of the Wye.
I work with natural elements.....semi-precious stones, crystals, hand-made glass, I particularly love the beauty of pearls. Always hunting for something unusual to incorporate into my designs I love finding that special vintage accent. I do not have a rigid ‘style’, but am moved by the materials I find. Each piece is unique, I never design two the same.
Being an artist gives me the freedom to create something unique and beautiful, but also affordable. Every woman deserves to wear a special piece, and no neck should be naked !
Christine Brackston, Jewellery & Textile Artist.
Originally from Worcester I am new to the Hereford area, having lived in the USA for the last 30 years. Establishing myself during a pandemic has been impossible, so now is an exciting time. I create unique, affordable jewellery in the attic studio of my Victorian home. I have re-started my ‘Wine and Design’ evening workshops ( or daytime ‘Cake and Create ….) enabling women to explore the creative process for themselves, designing and making their own special piece, with help as needed. You organize some friends and I pack up a selection of my ‘goodies’ and travel to you. ….necklaces, bracelets, earrings……all of the above, you choose. Prices vary depending on materials used ……give me a call or drop an email and let’s have some fun together !
My degree is actually in the scientific field, but design has always been my passion. I was fortunate to be able to draw on the talents of many different artists in my field to learn from. Other than that I am self taught !
Work shown in various galleries in the USA.
A small selection of my work is featured at Oxenham gallery both in Hereford and Leominster, as well as other independent boutique shops. I also work on private commissions. This is the year to introduce my work to a wider audience, I will continue exploring opportunities in nearby towns.
