How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is based on the classical tradition, often sight size and in oils. I thoroughly enjoy the adaptability of oil paints, it suits my temperament of veing able to 'tinker'.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

When I am painting I am totally absorbed in my work. I forget to eat, to go to meetings and fail to listen to anything I am being told. Hours are like seconds and I never know where the day has gone. I think its what is called being a state of flow.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I paint from life, mainly still lives and landscapes en plein air

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I work from home and wherever I find myself. I would like to set up a local plein air painters group, or even be happy to have people joining me to come and paint with me in my studio at home

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

I started painting about 8 years ago. I learnt from scratch at the Welsh Academy of Art and now attend workshops wherever and whenever I can with artists I admire

Exhibitions in the last 3 years:

Broadway Festival of Arts, Art in the Barn, H.Art

Your gallery outlets/stockists:

I can be contacted via my email and telephone number
