How would you describe the work you do and why?:

In order to do my best work I have to become obsessive with the subject matter, it always begins with mark making in what ever medium seems appropriate, and then from those marks l may return to the studio and work from them or take my paints to the original subject.
At present I am preparing for and exhibition in London and my present obsession is mistletoe in ancient apple trees ,I have also been doing a lot of printing and finding tree and bird images amidst the chaotic marks.
