How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I make paintings and drawings of abstract forms, writing and gestural marks. My work is on canvas and paper and my practice is an activity which evolves through the process of research through drawing along with practical application.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
My imagination has always sustained me and my work is a fulfilling and sometimes frustrating process which culminates in surprising ways.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Angela Holden; An artist who makes paintings.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I spend a lot of time in my studio making drawings and reading. I am also part of a William Blake study group and we hold regular zoom meetings to discuss work.
