Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I am fascinated by weaving and creating mandala-like & other objects using cords and yarn. The cords themselves are often objects of art to me. I am deeply moved by textures and continuous lines of knots and cords weaving to create new entities - "Every tangle of thread & rope"... I'm moved by artists like Amaral & Abakanowicz.
I experiment with different cords & threads - cotton, silk, satin, hemp.. and other materials like wood, shells, flowers.
I am inspired by colours, light, seasons, textures, wind & moods. Threads of thought.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It means happiness. Attempting to capture the beauty of the world, exploring the depths of nature's & human creativity and riches of variance.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
