Enamel Bowls

How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I am an enameller who loves to push the boundaries of concept and design to produce ‘one off’, beautiful pieces.

The techniques I use are very varied, learnt from hours of experimentation with materials, temperatures and enamel combinations resulting in surprising and unique effects that are incorporated into my jewellery and bowls.

My style is contemporary, sometimes quirky, but always with an eye to colour, form and fun

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It's a bit selfish really. It's my space and I'm doing what I love. When someone connects with a piece I have made I am delighted and if it sells, that's a bonus!

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I'm called Firefly and I am an experimental enameller
