How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

Most of my work is based on the light and colours in nature, for me there is and endless source of inspiration and delight in being immersed in the world around me.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Everyone needs an opportunity to express themselves, painting is my chosen medium.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I am a landscape painter, illustrator and teacher

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

In addition to my work as a painter I also teach workshops and give demonstrations on techniques of working with acrylic paint. I also create illustrations for books, magazines and publicity material.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

I studied design and illustration in Aberdeen in the early 70's and have spent many years working as a commercial illustrator. I started exhibiting my paintings in 1979 and since then have exhibited in group and solo shows in the UK and Europe.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

Moma Machynlleth, Marches Makers Festival, Oriel Cric, Cowbridge, Marlborough College, White Horse Bookshop Marlborough.
